ChelseaFest and The Big KaBoom are proudly guided by a dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality, family-friendly events for our community. Led by Brandy Pate, Event Planner & Promoter for the City of Chelsea, our event leadership brings creativity, organization, and a passion for excellence to every detail of the celebration.
Serving as Master of Ceremonies for the evening is Wayne Morris, the City of Chelsea’s Public Information Officer. With many years of experience in event coordination and public engagement, Wayne helps ensure a seamless, engaging, and welcoming experience for attendees.
We are honored to welcome special guest speakers including Cody Sumners, Mayor of Chelsea, along with representatives from Chelsea Cub Scout Pack 353 to lead the Pledge of Allegiance, highlighting the important role youth leadership and service organizations play in our community.

ChelseaFest and The Big KaBoom Event Staff
Behind the scenes, teams of extraordinary ability help bring this event to life, led by Brian Miller, Chelsea’s Facility Maintenance Director, and Bart Pettus, Parks & Recreation Director for the City of Chelsea. Their leadership and operational expertise are essential to the success and safety of this large-scale event.
Parking and traffic operations for the event will be managed by the Citizen Observer Patrol, led by Carlos Sanders. Their commitment to public service helps ensure smooth traffic flow and safe access for all guests.
For public safety and emergency medical services, the Chelsea Fire Department and the City’s Fire Marshal will be onsite throughout the event, providing EMS support and ensuring the wellbeing of all attendees.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Lumpkin Development, and Mr. Lumpkin personally, for the generous use of the land hosting The Big KaBoom this year.
We look forward to serving our community and welcoming families, friends, and visitors to this summer tradition. With strong leadership, dedicated volunteers, and incredible community support, ChelseaFest and The Big KaBoom are poised to be a resounding success.
